Independent Agencies Win When Retention Comes First

As 2025 comes to a close, it’s been inspiring to see how rapidly AI and modern technology are reshaping the insurance industry. From streamlining service workflows to improving communication and delivering instant account insights, innovation is touching every part of the agency experience. It’s an exciting time to be part of this evolution, and I’m honored to step into my new role as SVP and General Manager of EZLynx.

Over the past year at Applied Systems, I’ve had the opportunity to lead teams across Inside Sales, Account Management, Business Development, and Alliance Partnerships. Through those roles, I’ve worked closely with customers, partners, and internal teams—and what consistently stands out is what makes EZLynx different: a clear, shared mission to help independent agents operate more efficiently with practical, purpose-built solutions that deliver real results.

Success, for us, isn’t just about agencies choosing EZLynx—it’s about them continuing to see value year after year. That’s why we’re especially proud that EZLynx customers stay with us an average of ten years, an impressive achievement in a market where long-term technology relationships are increasingly rare.

Retention doesn’t happen by accident. It’s earned by continually investing in tools, education, and support that help agencies grow stronger, more competitive, and more resilient. While we’ve made meaningful strides in improving operational efficiency and business performance, we also recognize there’s always more opportunity ahead.

What We Built in 2025—and What Comes Next

Smarter Workflows with EVA™
EVA™, the EZLynx Virtual Assistant, saw major enhancements this year designed to eliminate busywork and give agents time back. New features like Account Summarization provide instant visibility into client activity, while EVA Content Assist helps generate polished client emails in seconds. After-Hours Text Replies ensure clients receive timely responses even outside business hours—strengthening relationships and improving retention.

Simplifying Commercial Lines Submissions
Commercial lines submissions can be time-consuming and complex, so we focused on making them easier. In 2025, we introduced a streamlined, single-path commercial lines workflow that brings consistency and efficiency to every submission. With embedded commercial rating arriving in early 2026, agents will be able to receive real-time quotes directly within EZLynx. Automated ACORD form creation further reduces manual entry, helping minimize errors and speed up carrier submissions.

Stronger Client Communication & Growth Tools
Staying connected with clients is essential to retention and growth. This year, we enhanced text messaging with dynamic personalization, allowing agents to automatically include details like client names or assigned producers. Email campaigns were upgraded with guided workflows to simplify setup and scheduling, while our new one-click Google Review requests make it easy to capture positive feedback immediately after meaningful client interactions.

Ongoing Investment in Customer Success
Our Customer Success team remains deeply focused on helping agencies thrive. In 2025, we expanded our webinar offerings to include topics such as renewal strategies, commercial lines innovation, and future-proofing agency operations. We also grew our support content library and introduced EVA Product Assistance—an AI-powered guide that helps agents find answers and navigate features in real time.
